Privacy notice

Updated 5 October 2026

Jom Lagi (jomlagi.com) is operated from Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Operated by Lucco Technology (202503276634)

What we collect

The name and mobile number you enter on a shop page; which shops you scanned at and which vouchers you drew and used; your birthday month, if you choose to give it; the notification address your browser gives us when you press "Remind me before it expires"; feedback you write after using a voucher; a random identifier kept in your phone's browser, used to flag several numbers on one phone; and which link you came from, for example Facebook. When you post: the platform you chose, your code, and the friends who came in with it; and your photo, only if you tick the box letting the shop use your photo.

What we use it for

To identify your vouchers and remind you before they expire. To show the shop where you left your number its own customer list: name, number, number of visits and vouchers. That shop may contact you on WhatsApp, for example to remind you that a voucher is about to expire. The system flags unusual patterns (several numbers on one phone, or very frequent visits in a short time) for the shop to see, to prevent prizes being claimed dishonestly. When a friend comes in with your code, we record that you referred them to count your friends reward. If you turned on notifications, we tell you your friend arrived, with the name they gave.

Who sees it

Only the shop where you left your number. We don't give your number to other shops, we don't sell lists, and we don't use your number to advertise other shops.

Photos you post

The frame is added on your own phone, and the photo is not sent to us automatically. We keep the original only if you tick the box letting the shop use your photo, so that shop can use it in its own posts. You can take it back any time in My vouchers, and we then delete the photo.

Who processes data for us

Customer data is kept in two places only: the database (Supabase) and the web host (Vercel), both in Singapore. If you switch on expiry reminders, the notification passes through your browser's push service (Google or Apple). Our email, payment, Google Maps and AI services for shop descriptions and post text only handle shop owners' data and never see customers' names or numbers.

What you can do

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop a shop from contacting you. WhatsApp us with your number and the name of the shop. You can also ask the shop directly to mark you as "Do not contact".

How long we keep it

As long as the shop uses Jom Lagi, we keep your data on its behalf until you or the shop ask for it to be deleted. When a shop stops using Jom Lagi, we delete its customer list within 30 days.

Children

Jom Lagi is for adults. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian leave their own number. If we find data left by a minor, we delete it.

Shop owners' data

When a shop owner signs up we collect their email, name, mobile number and shop details, to run the shop page, send scorecards and reminders, and take payment. Payment is handled by toyyibPay; we don't store bank or card details.

Cookies

We use cookies to remember three things: your language, a shop owner's sign-in, and an identifier for this phone. The identifier is a random string kept for 400 days. It lets us recognise which shops this phone has scanned at, so that nobody else can see your vouchers with just your number. There is no advertising tracking.

Where data is kept

The database is in Supabase's Singapore region and the site runs in Vercel's Singapore region. The data leaves Malaysia; you agree to this when you leave your number.

If data is leaked

If a data breach happens, we will tell the affected shops as soon as possible, and notify the authority and the people affected as Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act requires.

To delete or see your data

WhatsApp us with your phone number and we will delete it, or tell you what we hold, within 7 working days. The shop can also ask on your behalf.

Who can see your vouchers

Only the phone that scanned at the shop. On a new phone you unlock with a voucher code or with the staff's help. This stops anyone looking up your vouchers with just your number.
